Spark:Her Incubator

Spark:Her inspires, incubates and accelerates high-potential female social entrepreneurs. As part of the program Spark:Her incubates women at the early stages of starting a social enterprise through a one-year incubator.

What makes this incubator unique is its focus on women, social enterprise, and its team approach, in addition to the traditional incubator components of training and access to networks and information resources.

The program aims to meet the needs of women entrepreneurs by providing in-house childcare during sessions and by taking place during evenings and on weekends, so that participating women can keep their “day jobs” while transitioning into become social entrepreneurs.

Program

The incubator consists of 10-weeks of weekly sessions to equip ambitious women with the tools, knowledge and network to validate and launch their social enterprises. It is complemented by 8-month of ongoing mentoring, workshops and a growing peer-support group of Alumna and social entrepreneurs.

10 Female social entrepreneurs: Will build their impactful social enterprises together.

+ Weekly Practitioner-led sessions: Expert-led workshops and case studies presented by social entrepreneurs who have-done-that-been-there.

+ Mentorship and Coaching: Experienced experts support participants as mentors to validate their business idea and assembling their business plan. Certified coaches will support each participants in making the transition towards entrepreneurship.

+ Field visit: Participants visit successful social enterprises to learn from practitioners in the field.

+ Network: Participants access a entrepreneurs and individuals who can propel their ventures to new heights.

+ Ongoing Support: Participants have access to social enterprise workshops, ongoing mentorship and consulting to continue implementing their ventures.

Eligibility

- Proficiency in English and Chinese
- Able to attend all sessions in Beijing during the 10-week incubation period
- Has a firm business idea and has taken initial steps to launch social enterprise
- Can articulate clearly a specific, measurable breakthrough result which you want to accomplish during the program to bring your vision into concrete reality

Cost

Deposit: 500RMB, returned upon completion of the program
Fee: 350RMB upon acceptance
